CURRENTLY HIRING:

We are looking for experienced service technicians to provide our riders with a world class Harley-Davidson service experience.

Summary Description:

Repair, customize, maintain, or overhaul both customer and dealer owned motor vehicles as close to the allotted time schedule as possible with excellent quality.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Service Department Operations

  • Provide prompt, dependable, high quality, vehicle service to (internal & external) customers.
  • Complete repair work within the scheduled or allotted time period whenever possible. Continually improve this "efficiency" skill.
  • Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible.
  • Accept work assignments from Service Writer / Manager.
  • Request parts for the job as early as possible when needs become known.
  • Perform service, repair, and customization work in accordance to factory specifications.
  • Assist Service Writer, when requested, with writing up work orders, communicating with customers, test riding, or any other issue which will help ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Notify Service Writer / Manager of additional work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that customer may be contacted and notified of the delay.
  • After job is finished ensure proper completion and filing of paperwork.
  • Keep work area as clean as possible and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness.
  • Maintain technical (PHD and other) qualification by completing any necessary training programs assigned to you by the Service Manager.

2.    Customer Service

  • Minimize come-backs and deal with them promptly and satisfactorily when they do occur.
  • Keep customers' vehicle cleaner than when it was dropped off

3.    Other Duties

  • As Assigned

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

  • Completion of a factory authorized formal training program such as MMI Service School or equivalent work experience.
  • Current Motorcycle license.
  • Service Technicians need both basic and special tools to properly diagnose and service our products. All Service Technicians are required to own a set of tools within 60 days of hire.

Physical Demands:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Requires the use of both hands.
  • Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lift 40 lb. of material.
  • Frequently requires the ability to balance and push an 600+ lb. motorcycle.

The Service Advisor is the “right hand” of the Service Manager and serves as the face of the dealership for customers who bring their motorcycles in for service or repair. Efficiency, accuracy, and honesty are the keywords for this position.

The Service Advisor is responsible for helping the Manager run the department in the most efficient and profitable manner possible, and in doing so becomes a great influence in the dealership with regards to customer satisfaction and owner loyalty.

This person must be a capable leader with the ability to organize tasks and supervise personnel to get the job done.  The Service Advisor also should be capable of maintaining effective customer relations personally and throughout the department, as this is a real key to the department’s contribution to the dealership.

The successful Service Advisor will interact in the most professional manner possible with both customers and his fellow employees. 

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and professionally, obtain customer and vehicle data. 
  • Determine nature of desired service and/or complaint.  Consult vehicle file. Promote the sales of labor, parts, and accessories using sales fundamentals as appropriate. 
  • Write clear and precise repair instructions on the repair order for the technician. 
  • Ensure all customers are communicated with and all work is authorized before work is performed
  • Coordinate with the manufacturer and/or extended warranty companies to get approval In advance of repairs and take precautions necessary to guarantee  payment. 
  • Perform Q.C. inspection on all completed work
  • Telephone customer when job is finished and discuss with him/her what was done.  Close out repair orders. 
  • Ensure detailed notes are in all R.O.’s notes field 
  • Ensure all R.O.’s have the complaint, cause, and correction documented
  • Prepare Weekly Summary
  • Build and Maintain Daily Schedule 
  • Ensure corral is prepared and technicians are fed without being forced to wait.
  • Close out time cards daily and document totals
  • Utilize prescribed unit tagging system 
  • Tag all warranty parts and send back when necessary
  • Check I.N. Daily for Service Dept. communications
  • Cooperate with all other dealership personnel necessary to guarantee quality service. 
  • Be knowledgeable of the products sold and the various warranties on them. 
  • In the event of a customer comeback, trace the history of the vehicle to ensure that the technician who worked on the car previously gets it back.  The history is vital in not only determining whether the comeback is chargeable or not but also in attempting to repair the vehicle correctly. 
  • On all major jobs and comebacks, customers should be called back to be sure they are satisfied and all is well with their vehicle.

We are looking for a Hydrotech (Motorcycle Detailer) to join our Harley-Davidson service team. The Hydrotech provides assistance to all employees of the service department as needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1)Wash Motorcycles

  • Detail all new and used motorcycles. Recondition all used vehicles.
  • Clean and maintain appearance of general facilities.

2) Assist Service Department

  • Assist Service Department whenever necessary.

3) Other Duties

  • As assigned.

Skills Required

  • Follow directions
  • Ask questions when in doubt.
  • Wear appropriate shop uniform each and every day.
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude.
  • Complete all training programs and their related tests by required deadlines. The Service Manager assigns all required training.
  • Current motorcycle license preferred.
  • Detailing Experience Preferred
